LC's central line comes out today!!!!!
This is something we've looked very forward to...She's on a new dose of pain medication that is digested rather than given through her IV, so it takes longer to kick in but stays in her system longer as well. It will allow the PRN of morphine to back off and keep her more comfortable at a more constant level. We're looking VERY forward to that, as we had a capital G grumpy kid yesterday and this morning she is sleeping like a lamb.
LC is also up to the full feeding rate she was at before we came into the hospital and we're very happy about that, too! She has a full belly and has been celebrating with some diaper percussion for her morning nurses...Justin and I know a bomb is sure to follow so we thought it looked like a good opportunity to hit the cafeteria and wish LC's nurses our very best...
We'll post again when we can find a free opportunity...things look promising for a room on the cardiac floor, but all rooms are currently occupied so we'll what the day brings...

That is awesome news! She's doing so well! That kiddo sure has a fire in her! I wonder where she gets that? Thinking of you all often!

ReplyDeleteI've been following your blog and am so thankful that all is going so well now for LC. I just can't wait to see her. On Monday afternoon I showed Great Grandma Heigele part of your blog. All I could pull up to show her was the video of LC. The Manor computer system did not let everything come up and we had no sound. But, Mom really thought she was sooooo cute and she can't wait to see her in person!! Keeping you in my thoughts and Prayers. Take Care!

Yahoo on the central line coming out! YEAH for LC doing SO awesome just a few short days after surgery. We know for you as parents and her as the one going through the surgery the week has probably seemed super long but, for us praying at home we are just so thankful that she is doing so great so soon. You just keep doing whatever your little body needs to do to get better. Better watch out, they are going to send you home soon you are doing so well. Tell your mom, dad, and Nana hi. We love you.
