A wound care nurse sent us home with some zinc oxide ointment to help the irritated skin around LC's button site. It's starting to work and LC has had two tear-free days in the belly department.

It's leaking a lot.
This is the inside of her outfit after she'd worn it about an hour and a half this afternoon.
She's losing a fair amount of fluids and the stoma is still large enough to allow some chewed food to pass through it as well.
Delightful.
We'll be checking in with her surgeon's nurse tomorrow to see how her leakage rate compares to other kiddos in her situation. We'll let you know what we learn, of course...
In the meantime, could you please bombard our friend, Josie, with all the prayers you can muster? She isn't able to take productive breaths lately and I know her parents aren't breathing very easily, either. If you have time to stop in and leave some encouragement for this family, we'd appreciate it an awful lot.
