Since Pudge and Biggie have more surgeries in store this week, we're doing our usual "Pre-surgery House Arrest" routine.
The trick is not to catch anything that will keep us from qualifying to have our surgeries performed AND not to catch anything that will rear its ugly head after their immune systems are already hit by recovering from the procedures they'll have done.
We're cutting it close this time, since LC is starting round three of antibiotics, trying to get a respiratory infection out of her system. LC's immune system is trickier than some, since she doesn't have to technically catch her illnesses from anyone. She simply needs to generate the teensiest bit of snot in her head. It could be because she walked through a cloud of dust (not uncommon around here)...or has teeth coming in...but all of her sinus passages are SO SMALL that the stuff NEVER leaves. And so, it becomes infected. And suffocates the kid. And requires drugs to return her back to a breathing human again.
Jace, as earlier photos have attested, is more equipped to blow the junk out of his head, so he's drug-free and simply trying to stay that way.
While we can't leave the house to attend our usual line up of outside-the-home therapies, we are diligently continuing toward our gross motor goals...
Repeatedly exposing mom's bra is not technically on the physical therapy goal sheet.
That's LC's version of overachievement.
Oh, they look so good and who could resist that little LC laugh! Infectious, I tell you!

ReplyDeleteEm won't go down stairs backwards either. it's a little weird. I never saw a kid freak out like Em did . She's fine forwards, but it's kind of deadly. nice to see LC is always looking ahead too!
