Over the weekend, Pudge received the quilt Grandma Janet designed and created just for her.
(Luckily for Pudge, Grandma Janet requires no proof that the transition to big girldom has successfully occurred...only that the furniture be purchased...)
This is what spoiled looks like folks.
This quilt is the identical, smaller quilt Grandma Janet created for LC's babies.
Pudge's quilt is full sized and fabulous and I refuse to allow her to touch it.
Yet.
But she's quite aware of how special her new blanket is and it's been a source of great preoccupation today.
Rightfully so.
It's made from oodles of delicious 1930's inspired prints.
And the back is covered in lovely ladies and one of LC's middle names.
Pudge loves to study them.
Yes sirree.
Big girldom certainly has its perks.
Thank you, thank you, Grandma Janet.
What a lucky squib LC is to fall asleep wrapped up in such love and talent.
Lucky indeed!
ReplyDeleteFabulous!
ReplyDeleteBEAUTIFUL quilt G-ma Janet! And a PRECIOUS photo of LC and her baby doll!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful quilt! Neither of my grandmas ever made me something great like that, although I did inherit a solid green afghan from my great-grandma that I still use today.
ReplyDeleteWhat a blessed little squib you are, Pudge! <3
I could look at pictures of her all day. The way she's lookin at her baby, I just want to hug her!
ReplyDeleteOh, Grandma Janet, you really rock the charts! LC is one lucky girl. Love you!

The quilt is beautiful; I can only imagine the full-sized one. :) Pudge, as always, is so darn cute! And, finally, congratulations!!!
ReplyDeleteHow did I not know that LC's middle name was GRACE??? I thought her name was Leah Claire. Did I dream this??? Addysen Grace totally needs that quilt too :)~
ReplyDeleteYou're close! She's Lainee Camille Leah Grace. :0) There are quite a few to choose from.
DeleteI want a Grandma Janet! A quilt for the dolls, too?! Wow. Does LC like playing with dolls? Josie's developmental therapist says she frequently sees this in little girls with DS...so far Josie is sticking with singing animals.
ReplyDeleteNo...Pudge is not a doll fan. Yet. She's more a "fling my body through the air by whatever means I can take flight" kinda girl when it comes to fun. But she IS becoming more intrigued now that her best buddy, Eli, has a new brother.
DeleteSoooo cute! Doesn't get better then that! I would love a quit too! :) That little Pudge is the absolute cutest!
ReplyDeleteOh, LC is a lucky little girl! The doll quilt itself is wonderful! Grandma Janet is quite talented. Does she rent out?
ReplyDeleteLOVE the quilt! The Aunt Gracie's repro prints are the best... my two oldest boys got vintage print quilts from Grandma too. Lucky kids!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt. We love the fabrics too.
ReplyDeleteI think Grandma Janet rocks!
